Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I had a confirmed booking via third party (opodo) at DFW Airport on 19th of September 2020.

My booking was for Thrifty, but the counter was closed with a sign go to the Dollar Counter.

After waiting in the line for 70-80 minutes, I reached the counter and I provided my booking confirmation, the driverยดs license and my valid credit card.

After checking in the system I got following information: Yes you have a confirmed booking, but you booked it

1.) Only 20 hours ago

2.) Via a third party

So we have no car for you.

My question: But I prepaid it already and I have a valid booking confirmation

Answer from the Agent:

Thatยดs not interesting for Dollar, I always tell the costumer donยดt book online via a third party we dont have to give you a car,

So I just want to know because I am confused: Why are you confirming bookings via a third party if you donยดt want give cars to such a costumer?

And you can check, I am booking a lot of cars.

So fact is I will never book again a car at Thrifty, Dollar or Hertz and I will tell everybody I know, not to book also at this companies.

If I will not get an explanation, I will take further action, I think.

Believe me I never had such a situation before, except with Thrifty or Dollar.

Best Regards I hope to get an explanation.

Monetary Loss: $170.

Preferred solution: never book Thrifty again.
