New ReviewerThrifty "Wild Card" is a bait and switch. I reserved a car at SFO using the Wild Card which according to Thrifty website entitled me to a compact or better.
Compact is identified as a Ford Focus or similar. When I presented my confirmation I was informed that my compact car was a 2 door Fiat 500 which Thrifty identifies as Economy. No discussion, just a $90 upcharge to get the Compact I was promised originally and which I needed. Bad Biz, never again for me.
I contacted Thrifty over a week ago and no response. Stay away, Thrifty isn't thrifty.
Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.
Monetary Loss: $900.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Location: San Francisco, California

I made a reservation with Thrifty in Tampa, Florida, for a small rental four 5 days while in the States for a conference. The "estimated" total was $142 with the "wild card" for a Ford Focus.
When I arrived to pick up the car the total went $142 to $469.
Talk about bait-and-switch! Will never use Thrity again nor will I reccomend this company.
UPDATE: I received an email from Thrifty stating the local management can change the rules at will, so don't bank on Thrifty honoring any of their advertising. Stay away, use a reputable company.
